Use natural, even light
Photograph sets near a window or in bright indoor light. Avoid harsh flash, heavy shadows, filters, or dark rooms that hide shelf wear.
Show all box faces
For sealed sets, include the front, back, top, bottom, sides, seals, corners, dents, creases, and any price stickers or residue.
Separate used-set evidence
For used sets, photograph the built model, manuals, loose parts, minifigures, and any known missing or substituted pieces.
Minifigures matter
Many retired sets rely on minifigure completeness. Photograph fronts, backs, accessories, capes, headgear, and any cracks or print wear.
